BRIAN, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?

We reached Port Antonio around 2 pm. Now we had to find "Brian's Beach House". We checked the map, and it seemed that we were not far. We walked up and down the street, however, no sign of Brian and his "gorgeous" beach house. But there was a narrow road leading to the beach, so we followed it and saw a few people chilling outside. We asked them for directions. They smiled and pointed to a house just a few meters away. Great! We found the place! 😀
After a long uncomfortable bus ride, we couldn't wait to drop our stuff and go swimming. We found the entrance and knocked on the door. No response. We knocked again — still nothing. Hmmm... We thought maybe Brian was sleeping, so knocked harder. Nope, nothing. We asked the people outside, and they confirmed that this was Brian's place, AND he went hiking with two other guys and should be back soon 🤦🏽♂️ If you read my previous story, then you know what "soon" means. Brian returned after 3-4 hours...
While we were waiting for him, we played cards, drank all our water, chilled in a hammock, got attacked by mosquitos, and even got caught in the rain. The latter one was especially fun as there was no proper cover to hide from the rain.
After a few hours, Brian returned with two guys who were also staying at his place. He apologized, but I don't think he meant it. We had to pay for our stay, and another surprise: he asked for a higher (extra €8) price than what we booked it online. We tried to argue, but instead, he started complaining of how difficult it is to manage multiple accommodation platforms, that they scam people, that he didn't remember prices he put on each platform and blah blah blah. He said that if we didn't like it, then we could leave. At 8 pm, there was no chance to find an alternative, and we were way too tired. So, we paid the asking price and finally reached our beds.
The end.
