CLIFF JUMPING

The Island Gully Falls is around 40 mins ride from Ocho Rios. It is in the middle of a jungle and stunning. We arrived around 1 pm and saw that we were not the only ones who decided to cliff jump that day. We had to have a guide to go in, so we got one, paid the fee, and were finally on our way to explore the falls.

Nature was beautiful. Palms, waterfalls, birds chirping, and of course 'lovely' mosquitos 😀 The first jumping spot was right at the entrance. We had to go on top of a two-metre waterfall, catch the rope, and jump. It was fun, especially if you never did it before. We thought we were acrobats, and if we had competed, we would all get 10.0. But then we reached our next jumping spot. What we saw there was jawdropping.

There were a lot of locals and guys were doing cool stunts. They were running down the waterfall, pushing each other, jumping together or right after each other. They had no fear. We just sat there for half an hour and enjoyed the performance.
